Using Co-design Methods With Chinese Late-Life Immigrants to Translate Mixed-Method Findings to Social Resources

Mainland Chinese born in the 1940s–1950s have experienced unique socio-cultural circumstances that shaped their late-life immigration experiences. Little is known about what this population perceives would reduce loneliness. This study aimed to investigate role of co-design development community-based resources/services for ameliorating loneliness immigrants. Eight co-researchers completed three workshops, and two key service providers were consulted. Co-researchers co-designed guidebooks on accessing primary healthcare facilities, social services, aged care public transport, which considered helpful Co-housing was as a concept regarded feasible way living strengthen interactions Providing more housing, adding ‘next-bus stop’ announcements, conducting screening recommended at national level. Our findings affirmed need truly listen voices both end-users providers.
